Isabel Su Qi is a visual artist and innovator, drawn to the rhythms of life:
the hum of events,
the stillness between moments,
the quiet geometry of light.
Her lens often dances with her,
capturing expressions that move and breathe,
gestures of care,
threads of community,
the warmth of friendship.
Inspired by conceptual fine artists, Su Qi also creates conceptual work with photographs, often from her archives. For her BA Photography dissertation (graduated with a First Class Hons degree), she investigated the role of photography in forming memory. (The act of) recording through the lens affects the psychological process of memory, and our experience of the original moment.
You will find her living the most low-waste-low-cost life that she can manage; inventing DIY skin products, fermenting big pots of kimchi, etc...
and learning every day, keeping a daily diary of knowledge.
